Aix-Marseille School of Economics and the International Monetary Fund will jointly organize the 6th biennial conference on “Uncertainty and Risk in Macroeconomics: Decision making and policy challenges” that will be held at AMSE (Marseille, France) on June 12-13, 2025.

The keynote speakers are:

  • Era Dabla-Norris (International Monetary Fund),
  • Cosmin Ilut (Duke University).

The aim of this two-day conference is to bring together researchers who will present the latest advancements about uncertainty and risk in macroeconomics with a special focus on fiscal uncertainty. We invite submissions of both empirical and theoretical papers that offer novel contributions covering for example (non-exhaustive list):

  • Assessment of fiscal uncertainty and economic,
  • Policy uncertainty,
  • Economic implications of geopolitical risk,
  • Climate risk analysis,
  • Long and short-term uncertainty and risk,
  • Financial markets, sovereign debt and financial risks,
  • Drivers of endogenous uncertainty and risk,
  • New econometric measures of uncertainty,
  • Causal impact of uncertainty and risk.

Submissions are open until February 28, 2025.
